17 June 2011 A company received noting asking for accounting records of 2004-05 on 15-6-2011. the records upto 2005-06 is lost. what is the period of retention of records under service tax?

17 June 2011 Pl see rule 5(3) of service tax Rules,1994 which is reproduced below.
All such records shall be preserved at least for a period of five years immediately after the
financial year to which such records pertain.
