Reseting income tax password on alternate e mail id

29 March 2014 I am facing problem in filing ITRs f my clients as they are unaware of their income tax login password.
Is their any way to reset income tax password on alternate email id other than the registered e mail id, as my clients did not register them on income tax earlier!!!!

29 March 2014 You can go to forgot password option available next to login option on incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in website and follow the steps to reset new password. All you need is Acknowledgment no of last IT return filed and bank A/c no.

29 March 2014 assuming that you are unable to use the options available at incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in , you can use taxcloudindia.com to file the tax return and then reset the password by using acknowledgment no generated for the new return and the bank account details.
