Hi, While filing for IT Return for A.Y. 09 - 10 online, I did some mistakes on my part to fill up the IT return and filled the following wrong details from my FORM16:
1) I wrongly entered my "Gross salary" as "Income Chargeable under head salaries" from my Form16.
2) I also didn't mention the "Interest on Housing loan", as mentioned in my FORM16.
For the same I received a Income tax intimation u/s. 143 (1) asking me to pay Income Tax.
On receipt of the intimation, I filled for a rectification and now as I check, the rectification is rejected. I am yet to receive the reason for it.
My queries are,
1) can I file rectification for the above mistakes of mine?
2) Now since the rectification is rejected what can I do next?
