20 August 2008 how can we make our propreitorship name reserved to stop others to use it?

Eg:- I m running a propreitorship firm with name 'XYZ' then anyone else can also make his firm with same name and can enjoy the repo of my name.

I just want to knw hw can make this name safe frm others. Is there any registration required for this?
