19 January 2016 Is it necessary to get the Partnership deed registered in the Sub-Registrar's Office.

19 January 2016 Registration of partnership deed not compulsory under Partnership Act but advisable since if partnership deed is not registered there are some limitations like in case of unregistered partnership partners cannot sue among themselves in case of any dispute etc. Further partnership deed is registered with the registrar of firms and not in sub-registrar office.

19 January 2016 For income tax purpose no registration is required. For legal enforcement registration may be made with registrar of companies and firms. Sub registrar is for registration of properties.
