Registration of firm name

04 September 2013 I have applied for registration of firm name at the decentralised office, Mumbai.
I have already obtained the approval of firm name from New Delhi.
Sir, is it compulsory to make a 'partnership deed' and attach the same for registration?? And can I make the deed TODAY ?? that is of the current date??
