Sir, I filled approximately 600 ITR's in a year. While registered clients pan number on income tax web site, ask for mobile number and e-mail id but registered only 10 pan numbers on one email id and mobile number. This year I had create 16 new email ids. I'm not a qualified ca or licence holder laywer but pg in taxation law, so, doing practice. Please suggest, what can do to resolve this issue ? regards

you are supposed to register with client's email ID and phone number. Using your own number and email ID is anyways a bad business practice.

Registering clients using your own email/mobile is against the ITD’s user policy. It also creates future access issues for clients, e.g. for password resets, e-verification, etc. ✅ Solution Options:
Option 1: Register as a Tax Return Preparer (TRP) The best legal and long-term solution is to get registered as a TRP under the Income Tax Department. You’ll be allowed to file ITRs for multiple clients without creating separate logins for each. Option 2: Use Your Client’s Aadhaar-Linked Mobile Even if clients don't have emails:
Use Aadhaar-linked mobile number to complete e-verification (OTP based). Let clients receive SMS alerts from ITD directly. You can:
Help clients create simple email IDs (e.g., Gmail), especially if they are salaried or repeat taxpayers. Maintain a record for them to access later. Option 3: Register as an ERI (e-Return Intermediary) If you're filing at scale (like 600 returns), you may apply for ERI status. This allows you to file ITRs in bulk through your ERI portal access.
