REFUND QUERY

02 June 2011 I am working in a pvt ltd co. A cheque of refund of A/Y 2010-11 of Rs. 148440.00 but we claimed the refund of Rs. 302262.00. Now i want to know that how the ITD calculate the income tax refund.

Please guide me.

02 June 2011 1) get intimation under sec 143(1) from respective ITO
2) get 26AS and check whether your claimed TDS appear in that or not.

if everything is on track in 26AS then visit ITO for next refund, if 26AS does not match then get in touch with deductor for revision of their TDS return, then visit ITO
