06 September 2011 Hi,

I have filed my income tax return online for the past financial period and I am supposed to get a refund of 80,000 Rs.

Is there a procedure to claim this refund or do I have to wait for it to come ?

On googling, I came across a Form no. 30 in incometaxindia website. Is this the form required to be filled up and sent to the Income tax officer ?

I am located at Bangalore

07 September 2011 No need to send form 30,since not being insisted upon now a days. If your claim is legitimate , u will get tax refund either by post or direct credit to your bank account depending on the option u have selected while filing the return.

08 September 2011 Once you have filed your return online the same shall be processed within a month and the refund shall be in your hand within next 3 months or shall be credited to your account through ECS.

So do not worry and you need not file any form 30 for claiming of refund.
