13 June 2017 Hi Experts,

We are running a mandi business where we buy red chillies from various farmers and sale to wholesalers with in the states (Tamilnadu). Right now, Cess is applicable for transactions. Is GST applicable? Do we need to register under GST regime? Please advise.

29 June 2017 Dear Sir,

I just would like to add one more point. We are buying Dry Mundu Chillies directly from farmers as well as Brokers/Retailers (On commission basis). Then we sell the bulk of sacs (20kg per sacs) to wholesalers(not to consumer). Since we didn't get clear picture from government so far, I believe that GST is still not applicable and no need of registration.

Please correct if my understanding is wrong.
