Rectification of service tax

What is the simple way to calculate service tax wrongly charged. Initially bookings were made at different amount and now they are rectified due to which service tax already paid is changed..kindly suggest

From the query it appears to be bookings of premises - i.e. the service is either construction of commercial or residential properties. Anyway how was the service tax wrongly charged.
