I need to File a rectification. But for that, I need an intimation from the IT authorities(143(1)). The website is showing that no Intimation has been issued, and my ITR shows processed with no demand, no refund. I have a TDS credit, to be claimed. What do I do?

Key points: No intimation under 143(1) doesn't mean you can't file rectification. Rectification under Section 154 can be filed to correct mistakes apparent from records even without receiving an intimation. If your ITR is already processed but TDS credit is missing: The mismatch might be due to delayed TDS data upload by the deductor. Or TDS was claimed in the return but not reflected by IT department. Steps to claim missing TDS credit: Check Form 26AS to confirm the TDS credit is available as per the Income Tax Department. If TDS is showing in Form 26AS but not in processed return, you can file a Rectification application under Section 154 online to claim the missed credit. If the TDS is not reflected in Form 26AS, coordinate with the deductor to get TDS properly reported. If the portal shows no intimation and your return is processed: Wait for a day or two and check again (sometimes delays on the portal). You can still file a rectification application online (via e-filing portal → Rectification request) by selecting the appropriate assessment year and details.
