23 August 2011 Can any one tell me the rate of Stamp duty for Capital Brought in by Partners in a Reg. Firm.

There are 2 new partners admitted & each one is bringing 2.5 lac as capital.

23 August 2011 I dont think there is any role of stamp duty in this transaction.

Actually last year while getting a partnership firm registered they had asked for addtional stamp paper for the capital brought in by the Partners.

20 July 2025 Yes, in many states, stamp duty is levied on the partnership deed, and the amount of capital contributed by the partners is one of the determining factors for calculating the stamp duty.
