10 May 2012 Can a Chartered Accountant Holding Certificate of Practice be Self Employed (i.e carry on some Business) as well as Be an Auditor?

10 May 2012 If a CA carries on any business other than the profession of CA, he shall be deemed to be guilty of professional misconduct.

If he wishes to carry on any other business he has to obtain prior permission of ICAI.

AUDITOR MUST BE CA AS PER CA ACT(1949)& HOLDING COP(CERTIFICATE OF PRACTICE)CAN BECOME AUDITOR OF COMPANY.
