15 September 2010 I was working with a Ltd.Co.I resigned from that job as I got a new job. I want to withdraw my PF of earlier company.I have my PF no.with me.

Before withdrawl can I check my PF balance.
Also can I directly approach to PF office for withdrawl without any assistance of my earlier company.

15 September 2010 1. You cannot check the balance as till now
no such facility is available.

2. Its possible, you submit the PF withdrawal forms directly to PF deptt after duly filling it & certifying the details by a gazetted office or your bank manager.

But, its advisable to send your PF withdrawal forms with registered AD post to your ex-employer. If they don't respond within 30 days, then you should approach the step 2.

15 September 2010 Sir, Thanks a lot.

Actually my ex-employer is having 3 unit. Unit 3 set uped a year back. Then shifted me to unit 3. After 4-5 moths employer opened a fresh company FP account on the name of unit 3.

But this process is uncompleated yet.So I have a doubt that employer not deposited our PF. Hence I want to check my balance.
