What are the different registration requirements for a raw meat chain store in Pune city? The owner would like to set up as a Proprietary business due to lower compliance costs?
Is a One-person company recommended after the new companies act in such cases?
Would appreciate if I could get a complete list (along with estmated costs) where registrations/licese would need to be obtained. I'm aware about Maharashtra Shops & Establishment Act, Food license, & VAT regn etc.

if u really wish to keep compliance costs less, then continue with proprietorship.
you have covered the most of the registrations. You may apply for TAN if you expect any payments to be made where TDS is to be deducted. Also service tax in case you have to make payments to transporters etc as they are covered under reverse charge mechanism
