Project Allowance taxable or not

02 September 2010 Dear All,
A private Company is paying project allowance of Rs.14,000 to the employees who are working in client place (Onsite).
This project allowance is not included in Pay slip or as a part of salary..Is it should included as a part of salary and tax purpose or not???
Can anebody help me in this regard........
