10 June 2014 a person is employed in more than one company and both the companies are deducting professional on salary income then while filing ITR return of self the benefit of profession tax will be 2500 max or 2500 wil get deducted out of salary received from both the employers ?

10 June 2014 No maximum limit is prescribed for that, the employee can claim deduction from both Employers.

10 June 2014 there is only one problem. Section 16(ii) refers to payment under clause 2 of article 276 of the Constitution.

now under clause 2 the limit is Rs 2,500 only. please refer

"Article 276(2) of the Constitution reads as under :

"276. (2) The total amount payable in respect of any one person to the State or to any one municipality, district board, local board or other local authority in the State by way of taxes on professions, trades, callings and employments shall not exceed two thousand and five hundred rupees per annum."

10 June 2014 can employee inform to another employer not to deduct professional tax out of his salary just coz one employer is deducting it? is it possible?

10 June 2014 if total amount of professional tax is deducted by 1 employer then u can show the proof of payment to other employer.
