09 March 2019 I have joint saving A/C and FD A/C with my mother , please inform me the Interest on Saving A/C & FD A/C to be considered for Income tax calculation. My mother not submit the Income Tax Return.

I have paid premium on mediclaim on the behalf of my mother of Rs 6000/- on 30.09.2018 and also paid premium of Rs 9370/- on 31.12.2018 for me. My mother age is 70 years. Please inform me the deduction U/S 80D.

09 March 2019 for saving bank and FDR interest you have to check the first name in such account.. if you can prove that such funds are owned by your mother only then interest will be her income.. in your case she is not filing return so she will not have that much funds for FDR so it will be either 50% or 100% in your hands...

You can claim deduction of both medical premium u/s 80D..
