26 September 2011 Kindly advise whether the amount paid to the educational institutions for teh wards studying in schools whose reimbursement is being done by the govt. could be treated as exemption under section 80-c.

26 September 2011 If there is an employer employee relationship with the government and the recipient, the reimbursed amount forms part of the salary, and the fee paid can be claimed as deduction under section 80C ,subject to the restrictions contained in sub sections 1(xvii) (b) and 4 of the said section.
