Dear Sir,
i have filed return u/s 139 within due date but partially payments of advance tax and self assessment tax, department raise demand for short payment of tax with interest u/s 234 A,B,C
please advice me interest u/s 234A is applicable or not

If return is filed showing a tax liability (ie. not paying fully the tax due to govt),then section 234A attracts.
