06 September 2010 whether a Minor can apply for PAN on behalf of his parents. If yes,then what documents to be submitted along with PAN Application so far ID proof & Address proof is concerned.

As Person is minor hence not having any valid documents in his name except School Leaving certificate & Ration card in name of father.

Please reply & Thannks in Advance.

06 September 2010 If the applicant is a minor (i.e. below 18 years of age at the time of application), any of the documents of any of the parents/ guardian of such minor shall be deemed to be the proof of identity and address of the
applicant. Accordingly, Ration card can be submitted.
