27 June 2012 a person is the director in the company and he registered for p.tax (w.b) and also registered for p.tax(w.b) a proprietorship business

is the liable for both case for p.tax
noted that both case he pay maximum slab

29 June 2012 Separate registration for the proprietorship firm is not required since you have mentioned that he is already registered and paying P.Tax in his personal capacity as a Director which means that he would be paying the highest slab applicable.
