Online payment of income tax

19 July 2013 I am trying to pay my income tax online. I visited incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and clicked on E-Pay tax. It said this screen will take you to a webpage outside incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

I clicked on ok, a new window opened and I got the following message:

This is probably not the site you are looking for!
You attempted to reach onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com.
You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.

I want to know is it safe to proceed or is it a hacking attempt.

Online SBI portal

Every time I am getting the same message.

Sir can you please check whether you are also getting the same message. Please help.

So you can go ahead.

once clicked on proceed any way it is taking to challan 280 page

it may be because of your browser,/anti virus setting

once clicked on proceed any you will see challan 280 in a page "https" so it will be okay

19 July 2013 Just verified and it is credited to THEIR 26AS

i have seen now there is no such blocking windows now---when i gone for e-pay tax it is directly taken me to nsdl site

it will be okay i dont think it is a big problem
