Cheers everyone..I have a doubt regarding notifications being issued..All notifications issued by the respective body(cbdt)or regarding 'AS'etc.Do they override law or if not Why are they being issued??

Notification are issued for providing general clarifications on the Acts being passed recently or to avoid confusion.
Notification can not override existing law in force.
