18 December 2014 Assesse has received notice for the fy 01-02 for non filing of the retun. Now can we file the return? if yes how to do the same. Should we do e-filing or mannual filing?

19 December 2014 Notice for not filling of return of income can be received upto for the assessment year 2008 - 09 i.e upto financial year 2007-08 as per section 149 of Income Tax Act.

Therefore notice for Financial Year 2001-02 is bad in law and have no legal validity at all. One need to file writ petition in high court for quashing the notice
