Non Filed IT Return

12 February 2011 i do not filed my Income tax return for last two Years(i.e A.Y.2007-08 & A.y.08-09) and now i want to apply for the Home Loan with the bank, as per their requirement they want my three years IT Returns,so can i file my IT Returns for the Above mentioned Asst.years now.Is their any Notice will be issued by the Department and is there any Penalty for Non Filed the IT Returns?

No not possibel.

you can file the return only A y 2009-10 & 2010-11.

i.e F Y 2008-09 & 2009-10 only.

the penalty will be 5000/- per A Y.
