New service tax registration

07 September 2012 i have started a new proprietorship firm few time back. Although my transactions are very small but still i fill to get a service tax number for that. But i could not understand the type of service tax i should apply for. My main jobs are- doing pre-mailing, data entry & other allied works. Please suggest me what i should do to get a service tax number.

07 September 2012 After the introduction of negative services from 01.06.2012, all activities are taxable which satisfy the definition of service tax except which fall under negative services and mega exemption. If your activity covered under service tax and cross the limit of SSP, then you have to applied for service tax registration or you can also take voluntary reg. For further assistance send me PM

07 September 2012 If Your Service Provided in a Particular Year Doesnt Exceed 9 Lacs Then No Need to take Service Tax Registration.
