27 February 2012 I hav v.k. Singhania's buk of taxation which is amended upto 01may,2011 but i'l b appearing for may 2012 attempt and wud require a buk wid amendments upto 31st oct, 2011 so wud it b ok if i refer the RTP's which contains amendments from may1,2011 to oct 31, 2011 alongwid v.k. Singhania amended upto 31st may 2011..or should i altogthr purchase a new v.k. Singhania buk..pls hlp..

27 February 2012 it would be sufficient if you refer the buk as updated upto 1st may 2011 ans read relavant amanements from RTP but you should ensure that this buk also contains amemdments by Budget 2011....

27 February 2012 The buk says dat it contains law as amended by the finance act 2011 and legal position as amended upto may1,2011 is given..and practical problems are solved as per law applicable for the A.Y. 2011-12..den also can i use it..

27 February 2012 Hi Nikita.. You could refer and rely on V K Singhania book.. and as you have mentioned RTP does contain the amendments.. however i would in addition suggest that T N Manoharan shall have all the amendments relavent for the exams at the starting of the book.. you can check with your friends and get a copy of the same.. nothing much to worry at all.. these are just last minute anxiety due to exams pressure.. all the best..
