1. I was informed that registration for service tax can be done through online only. Is it true? 2.Also in the website aces.gov.in there is no option to register for service tax. so where can i register? 3.is it sufficient if we file the application for registration of service tax (ST 1) online alone? (no need to file it physically after submitting it online? ) 4.Also i was informed that after getting registered for service tax we have to quote the regn no in the bill. But we have large stock of bill books which was ordered long back. So practically not possible for us to order for new bill book...So how can i quote the regn no in the bills? Can any one pls help me???

1. yes, service tax registration need to be done in online
2. www.aces.gov.in website one option in there "Service tax" please click that options
3.you need to fill the ST-1 online and submit the same. and take the printout of ST-1 submit hard copy with all documents to the service tax department
4. you can make one seal having service tax registration number and put the seal in all the invoices which printed already

1. You need to register in the site with your company details & email ID. then you can get one mail from aces after that you can activate the your account and login for service tax application
2.Just Make seal " Service tax Regn no.________ "
3.name already there in printed invoice so not necessary to put again in seal.
