What are the accounting entries for Minority interest in consolidation of accounts in parent company.

What are the amount that should appear in Minority interest P&L and Balance sheet.

Please provide explanation with example.

It is most urgent.

07 June 2010 There is no entry required for Minority interest in the books , Because Preparation of consolidated Financial statements is for only reporting purpose

I know what have u stated but i wanted to know the logic for minority interest calculations.
