I want refund by cheque and bank has MICR code but in case of filling of return can I fill up 000000000 in MICR coloumn although bank has MICR CODE.

11 August 2012 If the bank has a MICR code why dont you want to mention it in the return?

Still, if you want refund by cheque, you can mention MICR code as 00000000.

If I want refund by cheque not ECS system and I fill MICR CODE of the bank, is their any problem will get refund by cheque? clear me,thanks.

11 August 2012 Filling in MICR code does not create any problem.

Refund will be issued in the mode selected by the assessee.

So if you provide MICR code and select refund option as cheque, refund will be issued only by cheque and NOT ECS.
