21 July 2011 I HAVE GOT MY MEMBERSHIP NO. AND COP ON 03/10/2010. PAID MEMBERSHIP FEE AT THAT TIME.

NOW I WANT TO SURRENDER MY COP AND GO FOR JOB W.E.F. 01/08/2011.

I HAVE TO PAY MY MEMBERSHIP FEE FOR 2011-12 TILL 30TH SEPTEMBER. IF I PAY FEE AFTER SURRENDERING COP WHETHER IT IS REQUIRED TO PAY MEMBERSHIP FEES FOR COP (RS. 2000) ALSO?

WHETHER I CAN PAY ONLY RS. 800 FOR MEMBERSHIP.

21 July 2011 Now you pay only the Membership Fee and do not pay COP fee automatically it is treated that you are not in practice. Kindly note that along with the payment of Membership fee you should write to the ICAI that you have not signed any Balance Sheet up to the date of payment of Membership fee. If you have signed then you have to pay the COP fee also and thereafter you have to surrender your COP.
