long term capital gain of bonds

10 February 2010 i had invested in icici bond three years before for rs.10000/-

now bonds have been matured and value is rs.18000/-

whether long term capital gain on bonds is taxable or not?

if yes

then indexation is applicable or not ?

11 February 2010 Yes, LTCG will be taxable and benefit of indexation will not be available.
