for instance, an assessee took a loan of Rs.2 lakhs. can he repay the amount by depositing directly in to the amount of the creditor instead of giving a cheque.
Pl clarify.

05 July 2013 yes but then for income tax purpose u need to have supportings to prove that u have repaid the loan.
