01 May 2014 WE have given some area on lease. The service tax amount is Rs. 44500/-per month. The lessee has not paid rent for last two months. I want to know that whether I will have to pay service tax in case of non receipt of rent.

02 May 2014 Sir I meant I did nor recive the rent, will I have to pay the service tax. It is possible that I get the rent after 2/3 months or it is also possible that there is some dispute and I donot get the rent at all. Please clarify.

03 May 2014 as per ur income tax returns rent received only 2/3 can u provision of remaining year rent receivable in ur balance sheet can liable to pay stax.
s tax also mercantile accounts system follow on wards 2011 so u can liable stax remaining period .
