22 October 2013 i am working as an accountant since last 3 years now i want to learn the TAXATION in detail
kindly guide me regarding this
books to refer
any short term classes/course if online or distance mode preferable
or any other way

as i have taken a admission in post graduate diploma in taxation law(mumbai university)it is totally based on theory or law but i want to learn the practical aspect also

23 October 2013 Books like Vk sighania,vinod gupta covers up ample of practical examples.You can also check for recent case laws from time to time.

You can also work at a CA firm whose core area is taxation

28 October 2013 both of these books are mainly written considering CA curriculum but of them comprises pratical examples,case laws as well.
