Dear Sirs
Many of my clients are getting intimation u/s 200 A of the IT Act 1961 demanding huge amount of late filing fee u/s 234 E. Please kindly advice what is to be done with such intimation.

If the interest calculation is correct, no alternative other than to pay the amount. Otherwise, an appeal is maintainable before the CIT (Appeals) under section 246A(1)(a).
