20 July 2018 If an assessee after getting registered under gst in July 2017 failed to file the return till july 2018 what will be the late fee payable by him provided he doesn't made any outward supplies during the said period , in what circumstances the said late fee can be avoided.

20 July 2018 for the month of July to Sep no late fees. October onward 20(10 CGST +10SGST) rs per day per return subject to max 10000 (5000sgst+5000cgst)

20 July 2018 Thank you sir, now i have worked out late fee(GSTR3B Rs 20,GSTR1 Rs 20 per day) assuming that return to be filled on 31/07/2018,which come out around Rs 55000/-now i have a doubt that whether i pay Rs 55000/- or Rs 10000/-

20 July 2018 max 10000 is per return , let say for July gstr 1 late fee payable is 11000, then for July max fees will be 10000 and if for July fees is 9000 you have to pay 9000.
