LAND RENT RECEIVED FROM HPCL

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
A petrol pump owner is receiving a basic monthly land rent of £8,820.00 from HPCL, with no GST applied by the company. The owner, who is registered for GST, wants to know if they are liable to pay 18% GST on this rent, especially since their total annual lubricants sales are around £100,000.00. Despite the owner's annual GST sales being below the £20 lakh threshold, if they are registered for GST, they are generally required to charge GST on the rent received. It's advised to communicate with HPCL regarding this matter.
