12 August 2015 Dear Sir,
My friend is working in a small petrol bunk, his yearly salary is 321000, is it compulsory to file IT return,if applicable which ITR form have to file, is it important to collect form 16 from employer?, he don't any other allowances from employer. which documents is required to file ITR return. please clarify.

13 August 2015 Since yearly salary comes to Rs. 321000/- which is more than limit of Rs. 250000/- return must be filed. Obtain form 16 if TDS is made by the employer on salary. You will need all bank accounts to file return.

But no TDS was deducted by the management,So is it necessary to obtain form 16 from them to file ITR,
and which ITR i have to in this case?

14 August 2015 If no TDS is deducted than form 16 downloaded from TRACES will not be available. Return can be filed without form 16 taking salary as Rs. 321000/-. ITR-1 (Sahaj) will apply on salary income.
