25 August 2013 announcement by BOS of ICAI, the Hire Purchase Trading A/c and Hire Purchase Stock and Debtors Methods are deleted from the syllabus of Hire Purchase topic of Group I Accounting paper.IS IT APPLICABLE FOR NOV 2013 EXAM???

25 August 2013 it will be applicable from may 2014 exam.

Read the announcement from above link. It is not mentioned that from which term this is inapplicable. It states "students of Intermediate (IPC) Course Paper 1: Accounting are advised not to read the said methods given in Chapter 11 of the Study Material". So i would presume it this announcement is applicable from Nov 2013 term itself.

as per icai rules anything which is announced within 6 months of the exam is not applicable for that attempt.

25 August 2013 But this announcement is in respect of exclusion so i have my doubts. This should have been clarified in the announcement itself. So better to get it confirmed from ICAI.
