my friend is in usa , working as a software eng. from last 12 yr. he came india only for 15 days in every 2 yr. time . my query is:
he is getting agriculture income in india
what will be the tax effect on agriculture income .

Hi,
As per my little knowledge on international taxation, any income accruing or arising, directly or indirectly from any property in india, will be deemed as income accure or arise in India as per Sec 9.Hence, your friend has to declare this income to indian income tax. I really don't know how he is getting agricultural income as he is coming to india only for 15 days in every 2 years..
