Interest to be levy on Late Payment of TDS on Salary

07 April 2009 Dear Sir,
TDS on Salary on one of the Employee Comes Rs.800/-. the Same is Ded.from his March Salary & Deposited with Govt. Treasury before 7th of Next Month.

My Question is What % of Interest to be Levied for Late Ded of Tax on Salary of this case ?

07 April 2009 If the amount is only rs.800 as given above and since there is a meagre dealy the interest is only Rs.8/- which you need not pay because less than rs.10 may be waived.
