Interest on savings

COULD ANY ONE TELL ME IF INTEREST IS CREDITED BY BANK ON 1/4/2011 BUT VALUATION DATE IS 31/3/2011. SHOULD I CONSIDER IT IN F.Y 2010-11

I would suggest you to consider the interest on 31.03.2011 as the interest is paid for that year.. or interest is accrued for the year 2010-11.. prudence concept could be applied and income be offered..
