Inter unit sales

25 August 2010 Dear all
We have two units (I & II,)we are selling the goods from unit -I to Unit-II and Unit-II to unit-I.

My Question is
Can i charge the sales tax when goods are selling in inter units?

25 August 2010 if both Units are different Entity, then you need to charge VAT

If both units are division of same entity, then you non need to charge VAT
