Input tax credit on job work

If a dealer pays vat on job work, can he claim input credit for the same? And what is the tds deduction procedure in these transactions.

15 August 2013 Job work is exempt from dvat as there is no transfer of property involved in it. Therefore no tds is to be done.In job work as no taxable goods are produced no input tax credit can be claimed on purchases..mjk
