22 July 2010 Can income tax return filled with some clerical error (in Father`s name) be revised & is it okay to revise it for this reason ?
Also if return is e filled ,so for revise filling ,have to follow the same procedure in regard to the form used or step to be followed for the revised return.In case instead of sending revise return in case we send the acknowledgment (ITRV)by making correction on it in the Father`s name where is the mistake is ,will that be advisable?

22 July 2010 I think for such small reason return should not be revised. error in father's name shall not affect the return filed. when you efiled return data is already in the deptt. server.
you should not make any correction in ITRV otherwise it will not be accepted at CPC
