19 July 2013 i) Digitally signing is NOT MANDATORY.

ii) Digitally signing is mandatory only for corporate assessees and other assessees covered under tax audit.
Ref:- Rule 12(3) proviso (aaa) and (ab) of Income tax Rules,1962.
