Income tax on rent if we have two houses (none rented)

We have two houses, first one purchased in 2006 where i am first owner, my mother is the joint/second owner. We live in this house
Now my mother purchased another 600 sqft flat where she is the sole owner. That house has not been rented out and is vacant.
Does my mother have to show an assumed rent of Rs 10k in her income tax file while calculating her net income ?

she will have to show the property as deemed let out...but what the exact rent that should be shown will depend on the prevailing market rents in the area
